Two people seriously injured after head-on collision in Bossier City

Investigators believe alcohol may have played a role in car accident that sent two people to the hospital.

The wreck happened shortly after 12 p.m. Friday in the 3200 block of Barksdale Blvd.

Witnesses told police a Toyota Tacoma pickup was north bound on Barksdale when it drifted into the oncoming lanes of traffic and collided head on with a south bound Nissan Altima.

 Both drivers were taken to LSU hospital with serious injuries.
