Benton woman behind bars for stealing from her employer

A former office assistant
is in jail tonight after she was allegedly caught stealing thousands of dollars
from a local dental office.
Ginger Maxwell, 36, is accused of stealing cash payments received at the office. She is also accused of altering records in a way that allowed her to steal insurance payments on bogus claims from several fraudulent accounts that she had created.
Investigators with the Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force believe Maxwell may have stolen more than $19,000.
Maxwell was booked into the Bossier City Jail on charges of false accounting, felony theft and computer fraud.
