A group of student nurses from Bossier Parish Community College are going the extra mile to help children in the community.
Through the month of February the BPCC Student Nurses Association will collect new or gently used stuffed animals as a part of its "Tuff Stuff" Toy Drive.
The donated stuffed animals will be given to area police and fire departments to distribute to children who are victims of house fires and domestic violence.
Collection boxes have been set up on the first floor of each building on the BPCC campus.
The students hope to collect 500 stuffed animals by the end of the month.
