Emotions ran high in the crowded Webster Parish school baord meeting. The discussion of lifting the desegregation order on the schools came after it's been a hot topic behind closed doors with the school board members.

Some board members feel that it's time to break free from under the Federal courts. However, most citizens who spoke feel that any progress that's been made is only a result of forced integration  and not from an honest effort.
