Deal involving local casino sale goes south

By: Nikki Henderson
Updated: February 4, 2013

The deal in which Global Gaming Solutions would have purchased two Legends Gaming Properties including the DiamondJacks Riverboat Casino in Bossier City is off, and fboth parties are blaming each other.

Global Gaming representatives said Legends Friday filed a motion with the U.S. Bankrupcy Court handling the company's Chapter 11 to withdraw the re-organization and purchase agreement plan with Global.

In a news release sent late this afternoon, Legends said Global Gaming Soultions "is in material breach of the purchase agreement." .

But Globa officials said Legends pulled the plan originally presented to the US Bankruptcy Court that detailed the purchase, and that was the plan it agreed to.

Legends said Diamond Jacks in Bossier City and Vicksburg will continue normal operations and the aborted sale will not affect their jobs.

In addition, Legends indicated they plan to sue Global for damages.
