You will soon know more about the improvements that will be made to some major streets in Shreveport.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation is inviting you to a special meeting where you can voice your concerns about the LA 511 project.

The event will take place Tuesday between 4:30 pm and 6:30 p.m. at the Caddo Middle Magnet School on 7635 Cornelius Lane.

DOTD representatives will provide information and answer questions about the project.

In addition to a center lane being created, the eastbound and westbound lanes of LA 511 will be widened between Fern Avenue and Creswell Road.  The roadway will also be resurfaced from Creswell Rd. to LA 523.

Construction is expected to begin this spring and take one year to complete.
