Local deputy receives special honor

A Bossier Parish Sheriff's Deputy is being recognized by the state Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Capt. Donnie Keith recently was given state recognition for 2012 Outstanding Law Officer in Louisiana during an awards banquet in Alexandria.

Keith, a 6-year veteran of the Army National Guard, has served with the Bossier Sheriff's Officer since 2005.  He is supervisor of Emergency Operations, which includes Marine Patrol, SWAT, Search and Rescue, Diving and Aviation.
