Tuesday evening's line of severe thunderstorms produced straight-line wind damage in several ArkLaTex neighborhoods. One of the hardest hit locations was Hughes Springs, Texas.
Homes and cars were damaged by falling trees in the Springfield Heights area off Highway 11. At the Eas-lee RV Park two trailers were flipped and several were moved off their foundations as the storms moved through Cass County.
Eas-lee RV Park owner, Joe Easley says he was headed out of town when the storms hit but when he heard of the damage at the park he quickly returned. "It was frightening, everybody was scared because this is their homes," says Easley. "I'd have been scared too if my trailer was rocking and turned over like that."
One of the trailers was occupied when it rolled and one person was treated for cuts to the head. Friends say the man was doing better Wednesday but still shaken up.
The National Weather Service in Shreveport had issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Cass County as the line of thunderstorms moved through.
