Two armed robbery suspects flee after robbing local store at gunpoint

Police are searching for two men who allegedly held up a convenience store in west Shreveport.

The robbery happened around 4 a.m. Tuesday at the Circle K in the 6000 block of W. 70th Street.

The suspects are accused of entering the store with a black handgun and demanding money from the clerk.  The men later fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money and multiple cartons of cigarettes.

The first suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male with a thin build wearing a black bandana over his face, a dark colored hoodie, and dark gloves.

The second suspect is described as a black male standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall.

Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.

A Shreveport woman was arrested following a stabbing, which sent a man to the hospital.  Authorities arrested 49-year-old Brenda Pouncy.
