Car burglary suspect captured in Bossier City

A man is behind bars in connection with a string of car burglaries along the Red River.

Detectives arrested Kevin Johnson, 32, Saturday during an undercover surveillance operation in a parking lot near Arthur Ray Teague Parkway.

Since mid-December, Johnson is accused of breaking into several vehicles in the parking lot across from the CenturyLink Center.

Johnson has been charged with six counts of simple burglary. He was booked into the Bossier City Jail and later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.
