]SHREVEPORT, La. - Aaron Jones hit the opening three-pointer for the Pilots to set the tone on Saturday afternoon helping the Pilots to a crushing win over the Paul Quinn Tigers 95-63. The win hands the Pilots their fourth consecutive victory while Paul Quinn lost their ninth straight.
Jones finished with a season-high of 19 points as he caught fire early from beyond the arc netting a total of five three's in seven attempts. In addition to Jones, Brandon Davis was the only other starter to post double figures as BD collected his sixth straight double-double with 19 points and a dozen rebounds.
LSUS (15-4) had three scorers off the bench to net double digits helping the bench out score the visitor's 44-10 with Rodney Milum leading the reserves with 13 points while Jake Greene hit a pair from downtown to finish with 11 and Tevin Hall had 10 points.
The Pilots shot 51-percent in the first half of play to garnish a 49-31 lead at the half. The defense clamped down on a team that had put 122 on them earlier in the season to hold them to a slim 63 points. The LSUS' defense forced a season high 24 turnovers.
The free-throw line was kind the Pilots as they drained 84-percent making 11 of 13 while the Tigers struggled at 63-percent making just 12 of 19.
Paul Quinn (7-10)was overmatched by the Pilots defense as they shot only 36-percent for the game and just 17-percent (3-17) from beyond the arc.
