More Louisiana workers are joining unions according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In 2012, union membership went up almost 2% in Louisiana.  More workers are also being represented by a labor union or employee association than in 2011.

Texas saw smaller gains in union membership at .5% more people joining.

Arkansas, on the other hand, went the other way, with union membership going down almost 1%.
