Two men accused of breaking into a home are behind
bars thanks to a four legged member of the Shreveport Police Department.
Shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday Victor Johnson, 24, and Roderick Vinson, 26, were allegedly seen taking things from a home in the 5700 block of Bienville Avenue.
Witnesses told police they saw the Johnson and Vinson loading stolen items into a maroon colored Lincoln Town Car.
Authorities later spotted the car at the intersection of Prentiss Avenue and Conmar Street but when police tried to stop the car, the suspects jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot in opposite directions.
After combing the area Cpl. Chris Yarborough with the assistance of K-9 Mico located Johnson hiding inside a home in the 3000 block of Conmar Street.
Moments later K-9 Mico tracked Vinson who was hiding in a storage shed behind a home in the 2900 block of Valley Ridge Road.
Johnson and Vinson were arrested and booked into the Shreveport City Jail. They are both charged with burglary of an inhabited dwelling, theft and trespassing.
