Louisiana Tech football's first year in Conference USA will be played in the West division of the newly realigned conference.

The West division will feature seven teams, made up of Louisiana Tech, North Texas, Rice, Tulane, Tulsa, UTEP and UTSA. The East Division will include East Carolina, FAU, FIU, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Southern Miss and UAB.

Tech's conference home slate will include games against North Texas, Southern Miss, Tulane and Tulsa. The Bulldogs league road slate will feature trips to FIU, Rice, UTEP and UTSA.

For the 2013 season each Conference USA team will play eight conference games; six intradivisional opponents and two crossover (interdivisional) teams. Louisiana Tech's two crossover opponents this fall will be FIU and Southern Miss.

Dates for conference games are expected to be announced sometime in March but the Conference USA Championship Game is scheduled for Dec. 7, 2013 and will be hosted by the team with the best record between the two divisional champions.
