National Organ Donor Day

Shreveporter Staunton Sample needed a kidney at a very young age. Luckily, his father and mother were matches for a donation, with his father being a perfect match, His father, Wade, never planned on being an organ donor, but he was willing to help his son. Living donors like Wade can donate kidneys, bone marrow, and most commonly, blood. People who commit to organ donation after being declared brain dead, can help possibly up to 9 people.
