Two people are behind bars in connection with several car burglaries at the Louisiana Boardwalk.

Anthony Gross, 20, and Reginald Johnson, 17, were arrested early Sunday morning after they were seen breaking into vehicles in the parking lot near the IHOP Restaurant.

Late Saturday night Gross and Johnson allegedly went through the parking lot lifting door handles on unlocked vehicles and stealing several items including purses, electronics and money.

The men, who escaped over the Texas Street Bridge, were caught a short time later in downtown Shreveport.

Gross and Johnson were booked into the Bossier City Jail on seven counts of simple burglary.
