Niners punch ticket to the Super Bowl

Frank Gore's nine-yard touchdown run with 8:23 left in the fourth quarter gave San Francisco a 28-24 lead they would never relinquish.
The Forty-Niners comeback was fueled by Vernon Davis' strong performance. The tight end caught five passes for 106 yards and one touchdown. Davis averaged 21 yards per catch during the contest.
San Francisco running back Frank Gore added 90 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
New Boston, TX native LaMichael James spearheaded the Niners comeback. The former Oregon Duck scored the first NFL touchdown of his career on a 15 yard run with 8:08 left in the second quarter. James' touchdown cut the Atlanta lead to 17-7.
San Francisco would dominate the rest of the way, outscoring Atlanta 21-7 the final 2+ quarters.
Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick completed 76 percent of his passes (16-of-21), including a four yard touchdown pass to Vernon Davis late in the first half. Davis' touchdown cut Atlanta's lead to 17-14 at halftime.
Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan threw for 396 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in the loss.
