Shreveport community may experience low water pressure

You may experience low water pressure this weekend if you live near downtown Shreveport.

Saturday, Jan. 19 the Water & Sewerage Department is shutting down the McNeill water pumping station.

The station will shut down at 7 a.m. and is expected to be down for at least 8 to 10 hours.

This pumping station will be closed so crews can do water main repair work on North Common Street.

If your water pressure drops significantly please contact the city's service center at 673-7600.
