Nearly two
years ago a local child died from influenza complications. Today an east Texas school district continues
safety precautions.
NBC Six
News visited Elysian Fields Elementary School.
The school's nurse says they haven't seen an increase in flu cases.
Custodians
frequently use district-provided hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes and
disinfectant spray. Christie Vickers says the best
thing is for students to stay home if they're sick.
Students aren't allowed back on campus until they've been symptom free for at least 24 hours.
