Update: Winter weather causes delay in I-20 bridge construction

Updated: January 14, 2013

The Interstate-20 lane closure in Bossier City will be postponed due to possible sleet and snow.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation has delayed construction that was supposed to take place Monday.

DOTD officials now say on Thursday Jan. 17 the left lane of the I-20 west bound bridge over the KCS Railroad and Westerfield St. will be shut down between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for bridge rail repair.

The closure will allow vehicles 36 feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone.  Larger vehicles must detour using La. 72, La. 3 and I-20.
