There was an auditorium full of tears Friday afternoon, as Bossier High School students memorialized beloved football coach, Ricky Brown.

Ricky Brown passed away Tuesday morning from a heart attack. He was 35 years old. He was the offensive coordinator for the Bearkats. He also coached track. Students said he was like a father to them. He leaves behind his wife-Mia and their three children-Trinity (8), Kimora (4), and Aaron (2).

"He was more than I thought he was. 10 x10x10. What a great man, husband, father, I had. There are no words to express the loss that I feel," said Mia Brown.

Family hour is being held Friday at 6 p.m. at the Memorial Funeral Home in Homer on Highway 79.

Brown's funeral will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Victory Praise and Worship Center on Taylor Road in Minden.

A memorial fund has been set up at the Bossier Federal Credit Union to benefit his young children. It's titled the "The Ricky L. Brown Family Benefit Account." The member number is #115974. Donations will also be accepted at Bossier High School as well. Checks will be accepted. You may contact Christy Roge' at (318) 549-6684 with any questions regarding donations.
