A commuter ferry slams into the deck injuring 58 people in Lower Manhattan.

The accident happened Wednesday morning when the boat experienced a hard docking at Pier 11 near Wall Street.

Two people are in critical condition and dozens of others were hurt when they were thrown from their seats.

Authorities say it is unclear what caused the ferry, operated by Seastreak, to crash into the pier.

The National Transportation Safety Board and the U.S. Coast Guard are investigating the accident.
