Family takes extreme measures to escape wildfires in Australia

Wildfires in Australia force a family to jump into the sea.

When a giant blaze swiftly spread to a residence in the town of Dunalley on Tuesday, the Holmes family decided to head for a nearby body of water.

Tim Holmes, his wife and their five grandchildren jumped into the sea and held on to a jetty for three hours to seek refuge from the flames.

The family was able to return to land once Holmes recovered his boat.

So far no deaths have been reported but wildfires have destroyed more than 90 homes in the town of Dunalley.
