The rain stalls a road construction project in east Texas.  Last week crews started repairing eight streets in Marshall.

The funding for the project comes from a Community Development and Block grant.  High Bridge was in the greatest need of repairs.

J.C. Hughes, public works director says the repairs should last up to 25 years.  The project has a total price tag of $466,000.

Depending on the rain delays the project is expected to be finished by the beginning of next month.
