The Marshall Independent School District is increasing security on one campus. Over the Christmas holiday security cameras were installed at Marshall Junior High School.
The cameras are inside and outside the campus. Administrators can log into a computer and monitor cameras all over the campus.
School leaders say this was in the works long before the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut.
Crews are fixing glitches and hope to have the new system up and running next week. Metal detectors were installed at this same campus March of last year.
