Update: I-20 lane closure delayed in Bossier City

By: Nikki Henderson
Updated: January 7, 2013

You can expect a slower commute if you travel on Interstate-20 next week.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation has postponed construction that was supposed to take place Wednesday Jan. 9.

DOTD officials now say on Monday Jan. 14 the left lane of the I-20 west bound bridge over the KCS Railroad and Westerfield St. will be shut down between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for bridge rail repair.

The closure will allow vehicles 36 feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone.  Larger vehicles must detour using La. 72, La. 3 and I-20.
