Update: Shreveport Police investigate the city's first murders of 2013

Authorities are looking for answers in a double homicide in the Highland neighborhood.

Thursday the bodies of a male and female were discovered inside a home in the 200 block of Columbia.

Police say the victims are Stephen Bryant, 57, and Madonna Wachter, 49, both of Shreveport.

Investigators say a family member found the bodies shortly after 10 a.m. when they went to check on one of the victims after they didnt show up for work. 

Bryant and Wachter mark the first and second murders of 2013.
