Mansfield police search for armed robbery suspect

Authorities are trying to find a man who allegedly held up a restaurant in DeSoto Parish.
The incident happened shortly after 10 p.m. Friday at the Pizza Hut in the 100 block of McEnery Street.
Employees told police the man walked into the restaurant with a gun and demanded cash but when the manager informed the suspect that there was no money he fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, medium build, standing between 5 feet 9 and 5 feet 11 inches tall wearing all black clothing.
A cash reward of up to $1000 is being offered in this case. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Mansfield Crime Stoppers at 318-872-8888.
