Chimp Haven is expanding its behind-the-scenes education program, and Ashley Gordon with the animal sanctuary stopped by NBC 6 News Today to talk about the upcoming Chimp Chat & Chew.

The event will be offered four times in 2013, with the first taking place on January 3rd.

The event begins at 8:30 a.m. and lasts until 10:30 a.m.

Visitors will get a first hand look at the more than 120 chimps and may catch a glimpse of the infants born at the sanctuary earlier this year.

The event costs $40 for adults; $20 for children (12 years of age and younger).

Reservations are required for this event as limited space is available.
