Louisiana Downs veteran bartender shares New Year's Eve drink recipes

New Year's Eve celebrations are just a few days away.  NBC 6 spoke with a 33 year veteran bartender for Harrah's Louisiana Downs to learn a few festive drink ideas to try. 

Don't forget to check out their annual New Year's Eve concert party Monday night at the Downs.  Thousands will bring in 2013 with music from the Spazmatics and DJ Love starting at 8 PM.  Fireworks show at 12:15 AM


Pam's Punchless (Non-Alcoholic)

Fill glass with ice cubes

4 oz. pineapple juice

6 oz. cranberry juice

Splash of Grenadine

Shake until thoroughly mixed

Pour into 12 oz. glass, add a twist of lemon, garnish and serve


Melon Drop (Alcoholic)

Fill glass with ice cubes

1 oz. shot Midori

.5 oz shot vodka

6 oz. shot pineapple juice

Shake until thoroughly mixed

Pour into 12 oz. glass, add a splash of sprite, garnish and serve


Harrah's Cane (Alcoholic)

Fill glass with ice cubes

.5 oz. vodka

.5 oz rum

.5 oz gin

1 oz. orange juice

1 oz. pineapple juice

10 oz. cranberry juice

Splash of grenadine

Shake until thoroughly mixed

Pour into  a hi-ball glass, finish with a twist of lemon and line, and serve
