Joe Caldwell's heart is broken. When he came home just before 10pm on Christmas night and walked inside, he saw fire. His house is in the 2900 block of 5th street in Shreveport.

Fire isn't all he saw. He saw over a decade of memories, his two children's bedrooms, his car, and the family's brand new Christmas gifts destroyed.

The only thing keeping the family warm is Caldwell's mother's home and the clothes on their backs.

"It's like taking your last breath. Everything I worked for it's gone. I'm so heartbroken," Caldwell said.

Even though the family has insurance, the Caldwells know that no amount of money will ever bring back the Christmas the fire burned to the ground.
