Well known rapper behind bars in DeSoto Parish

A Houston rapper was arrested after a traffic stop in DeSoto Parish.

Wesley Weston, known by stage name Lil' Flip, was taken into custody Wednesday after he was pulled over for speeding on I-49.

Authorities found marijuana and a firearm after they obtained consent to search Weston's vehicle.

Weston's passenger Olanza Sanders of Shreveport was also arrested for illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Weston is in the DeSoto Detention Center but Sanders has bonded out.
