Let the Bowling Begin

The University of Louisiana-Monroe and Ohio will be the toast of Shreveport through Dec. 28th.

The two football programs rolled into the "Port City" in preparation for Independence Bowl.

The game won't kick-off till Friday, but the pre-game lasts all week for the teams and the fans.

Both schools hit-the-lanes to blow-off steam shortly after arrival on Christmas eve. The football teams went bowling at Holiday Lanes in Shreveport.

Practices begin Tuesday and runs through Thursday.

There will be several activities outside of the football field.

On Wednesday, Dec. 26th at 8pm, the teams will be competing in the "Big Game Show" at Riverview Hall. Tickets are $5 for the general public.

Thursday, Dec. 27th at 7:30am the FCA will sponsor a breakfast at the Bossier Civic Center. Tickets are $5 for the event.

A pep rally will be held at the Louisiana Boardwalk on Thursday, Dec. 27th from 5pm-8pm.

Hirsch Coliseum will host the MetroPCS Fan Fest at 9am on gameday

The game kicks off Friday at 1pm from Independence Stadium.
