Youth winter camps provide fun during holiday break

Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation is offering winter camps to keep your child entertained during their Christmas vacation.
The camps will be held Dec. 26 - 31 and Jan. 2 - 4 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at each of SPAR's community centers.
The programs will be offered to children between the ages of 6 - 11 and to teens between the ages of 12 - 17.
The youth will participate in daily activities such as exercise, games, field trips and arts and crafts. Some centers also will offer tennis and weightlifting.
Space is limited and is filled on a first come, first served basis. Pre-Registration for the camps is required but there is no cost to enroll.
Snacks will be provided but each camper must bring a lunch.
