The Bossier Sheriff's Office and Bossier City Police Department are teaming up to protect you from identity theft.
Members of both law enforcement agencies have launched the White Collar Task Force to also combat crimes such as fraud and embezzlement.
Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington said, "These crimes are often committed for illegal monetary gain, and although the victim may not be harmed physically, the results can be devastating. Our job is to work together to stop it."
Both agencies will share the same office space to better utilize resources. This will allow detectives to more efficiently investigate white collar crime cases throughout the city and parish.
Anyone who wants to report white collar crimes or any other criminal activity can contact the Bossier Sheriff's Office at 318-965-2203 or the Bossier City Police Department at 318-741-8611.
