Some Bossier parish residents being urged to boil their water

By: Nikki Henderson
Updated: December 20, 2012

Village Water Systems has issued a water boil advisory for certain parts of Haughton.

The boil notice was announced Thursday as a precaution after the water was turned off to fix a leak on the main line.

The boil advisory affects residents on Hwy 80 starting with the address 8911 and everyone going east to include Goodwill Rd., Freight Entrance Rd., St. James Church Rd. and Barbecue Rd.  It does not include Eighty Acres Drive.

You should disinfect your water by boiling it for one minute before you drink it, make ice or brush your teeth.

Village Water Systems will keep the advisory in effect until further notice.
