Holiday over-indulging could take years off your life

Here's something to think about before you have a second helping of anything over the holiday season. 

Cambridge University researchers say each day of over-indulging in bad habits can take 30 minutes off your life.

Using data from population studies, they calculated 30 minutes of life can be lost from smoking two cigarettes, being 11 pounds overweight, having two to three drinks, watching two hours of TV or eating a burger.

However, they say each day of consuming one alcoholic drink, eating plenty of fruits and vegetables and exercising can add two hours to your life.
