After learning news of the senseless tragedy in Newtown...

"I thank the Lord every day my children are with me," Jamie Berney said.

Jamie Berney is not only speaking as a mother, but as a teacher.
For years she's homeschooled students, two are her own children.

The tragedy reaffirms her strong belief in homeschooling and lets her rest a little easier each night.

"My children are right there. I'm not rushing somewhere wondering where they are," Berney said.
