Will the Interstate 49 construction project rip through Shreveport's historic Allendale community?  A series of meetings are scheduled this week to keep residents informed.

The inner city connector project is part of the I-49 corridor which runs from Canada to New Orleans.  It will be about 3.6 miles in length. State Representative Roy Burrell believes this could be an economic gain for the area.

There are four different options for proposed routes.  At the meetings people are able to select which option they like the most.

The final meeting this year will be held Thursday at noon at the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.
