People living in a small Caddo Parish neighborhood may be evicted from their homes if a dispute over unpaid water bills is not resolved within the next two weeks.

The City of Shreveport cut off their water because Analytical Logging, the company who has been selling water to the people on Wells Island Road, owes the city $24,000.  Representatives from the city say it is illegal to resell city water.  So not only has Analytical Logging not paid its bill, it has also broken the law by selling the water in the first place.

Several angry residents from Wells Island Road showed up at a Shreveport City Council work session to try and get some answers.

When tempers flared, some people had to be escorted out by security.

The residents are angry becasue they not only lost water but also face the possibility of being evicted because it's against state code to live in a home without running water.

Shreveport City Council members and Caddo Parish Commissioners are working on solutions, including the possiblity of the parish bringing a water line into the neighborhood.

They hope to find a solution within the next two days to help the families on Wells Island Road.
