As cold weather hits the ArkLaTex,
one shelter is preparing to protect those in need from the cold.
The Shreveport-Bossier
Rescue Mission has beds available now, but as cooler temperatures come they
have to pull out cots for extra people in the shelter.
They also have to prepare
more food. The shelter's Director of Development and Community says they'll be
prepared.
If you would like to help,
there are a few things the shelter needs.
You can donate blankets
and pillows to go with the cots. The shelter is also in need of things to wear
in cold weather like hats, gloves, scarves and sweaters.
