Texarkana police make holidays brighter for needy children

A group of police officers go the extra mile to bring some Christmas cheer to children in Texarkana.
Tuesday more than 100 kids will get a chance to do some holiday shopping as part of the annual Shop with a Cop program.
Each officer with will be paired with a needy child who will get $100 to buy Christmas gifts.
The event kicks off at 8 a.m. at the Wal-Mart on 133 Arkansas Blvd.
Shop with a Cop is funded through proceeds from the
annual Ed Worrell Memorial Tournament and several donations provided by
Texarkana businesses as well as private citizens.
