Caddo Parish neighborhood still has water, despite payment deadline

A small neighborhood in Caddo Parish is still in limbo with their water service. The company they make water payments to, hasn't been turning in the payments.
People who live along Wells Island Road were supposed to have their water cut off on Friday, but it's still on for now.
The company analytical logging gets water from the city of Shreveport, then the company resells it to people in that small neighborhood.
Analytical hasn't been paying the bill, and now they owe the city $24,000. Since the bill hasn't been paid, the city can shut the water off.
The city hasn't taken action yet, but some residents are prepared just in case.
Caddo Parish Commissioner Michael Williams said he hopes the city, the parish and the state Public Safety Commission can come together and create a long-term plan of action.
"I'm going to do all I can as a parish official to make sure water [doesn't] get cut off," says Williams. "In the meantime, I'm going to help bring swift justice to the penetrator who has misled them into thinking that they were paying their bill and the bill wasn't getting paid to the city."
In the midst of it all, we still have not heard from Analytical Logging, and we've been trying to contact the owners for the past two weeks.
There is no set date on when the water will be cut off.
