CASA program in need this Christmas

By: Nikki Henderson
Updated: December 6, 2012

Volunteers for Youth Justice need your assistance with making Christmas possible for some Shreveport-Bossier children.

The Court Appointed Special Advocates program is seeking additional gifts for its children's Christmas party.

Each year the program provides the holiday event for at least 250 CASA children and another 50 children that are in the foster care system but waiting on a CASA volunteer.

The children have refreshments, see Santa, and receive gifts from their wish list.

The Volunteers for Youth Justice still has over 75 children that have not been sponsored.

The CASA Christmas Party is Saturday, Dec. 15 and all donations need to be confirmed by Dec. 12.

Please contact Vickie Record: vickie.ricord@vyjla.org or 318-425-4413 to select a child's wish list or to make a monetary or gift card donation.
