Tuesday marked the fourth day of operations at Camp Minden.  The major undertaking is putting classes at Doyline High School on hold.

Webster Parish Schools superintendent, Steve Dozier hopes school will reopen Friday.  That date could change depending on the weather, which could cause delays to the operation.

This isn't the first time an explosion at Camp Minden interrupted school in Doyline.  A similar incident happened back in 2006.

This week state mandated End Of Course were scheduled to take place.  The school system has a two week window to complete the tests.  If school opens on Friday, students can complete the exams next week.

Dozier has been in contact with Louisiana Department of Education officials.  He's hoping the school system will be granted an exemption, so they won't have to make up the missed days.  However if that doesn't happen, next semester additional minutes will be added to class days.  This will make up for the time students missed during this operation.
