You may have to take a detour if you travel in Bossier or Webster parish.

This weekend the Louisiana Department and Transportation and Development is shutting down parts   of Highway 164. It will be closed from its junction with LA 614 on the west end to Amos Cutoff Road on the east end.

Highway 163 also will be closed from Boothville Road on the south end to its junction with LA 164 in Doyline.

The roads will be closed between 6 a.m. on Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The closures are taking place due to the explosives being removed from Camp Minden.
