Webster Parish officials are holding a town hall meeting tonight to discuss evacuations for the town of Doyline.

Residents are asked to show up at 7 p.m. in the gym of Doyline High School on 376 College St.

Wednesday Louisiana state police recommended voluntary evacuations. Authorities encouraged families to leave their homes by Friday so that one million pounds of explosives can be removed from Camp Minden.

A no fly zone has been implemented for the area and Doyline schools will be closed on Monday.  Highways 163 and 164 also will be shut down at certain points.

State police are not sure how long it will take to remove the explosives.

Earlier this week Explo Systems was cited for improperly storing explosive materials that may have caused the October 15th blast that heavily damaged many local businesses.
