Early Voting ends Saturday

Local voters are heading back to the polls this week for early voting.  Now through Saturday, registered voters can vote at the Registrar of Voters' office.

Polls open at 8:30 A.M. and close at 6 P.M. each day, and you're required to bring a photo I.D.

Bossier and Webster Parishes residents will decide a run-off for the 26th District Court Judge seat.

Whit Graves and Mike Nerren are facing off after last month's election took John Slattery out of the race.

Shreveport registered voters only have one item on the ballot.  They're being asked to vote for or against renewing a sales tax that funds the city's police and fire departments.

If approved, the 1/4th of 1% sales tax will be renewed for five years beginning January first.

Both departments rely heavily on the estimated eleven million that will be generated from the tax.
