Texarkana, Arkansas police have arrested a suspect in the armed robbery of a Texarkana hotel.

Brandon Frazier, 28, of Texarkana, Arkansas, was taken into custody Sunday, Nov. 18 for the Saturday, Nov. 17, armed robbery of the Economy Inn, 4300 State Line Ave.

At 7:30 a.m. Saturday, police responded to an armed robbery call at the Economy Inn on State Line Avenue. TAP officer Dennis Hagan arrived on scene and located an employee of the business who reported he had been robbed at gunpoint by an unknown black male.

The employee said the suspect entered the business and demanded cash from the register.  After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.  Video evidence provided to officers showed the suspect to be approximately 5'9" tall and 200lbs, with facial hair and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Then on Sunday, Hagen was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 1600 block of East 50th street involving child custody issues. While investigating the disturbance call, Hagan learned of information that matched the suspect of disturbance call to the suspect that committed the hotel robbery the day prior.

This information led officers to Frazier, who was located in the 1000 block of Locust Street.  Frazier was arrested and charged with interference with child custody as well as aggravated robbery.  This investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.

Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department at 903-798-3154 or Texarkana area CrimeStoppers at 903-793-STOP.
