Arsonists struck another deer camp site in Plain Dealing over the weekend and burned two large deer stands to the ground, causing more than $2,000 in damages.

The incident occurred sometime on Sunday or early Monday after the owners of the campsite on Highway 160 near Old Plain Dealing Road arrived Monday to find two large box deer stands completely burned and still smoldering.

This latest incident follows a string of vandalism and arson cases at various deer camps over the past two years in northern Bossier Parish that has caused more than $100,000 in damages.

Over the past two years, vandals have burned campers, placed sharp spikes on the roads causing damage to tires and stolen deer stands, feeders, cameras and other items at deer camp sites in the vicinity of Highway 160 and Old Plain Dealing Road since October 2010.

The Bossier Sheriff's Office and Bossier Crime Stoppers continue to ask the public's help in finding the person(s) responsible for these crimes.   They are offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the persons responsible.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call (318) 424-4100 or leave a web tip at
www.bossiercrimestoppers.org.  All callers to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous.
